Think of growth factors as biological messengers. They help cells communicate and play a role in maintaining the skin’s structure. The challenge is that traditional growth factors can be difficult to use effectively in topical skincare because of their molecular size and the skin’s natural barrier.
FILORGA has approached this challenge using its Micro-Growth Factor-Peptides Complex, which incorporates a micro-fragmented FGF biomimetic peptide. According to the brand, this micro-fragmentation allows the peptide to penetrate 10 times deeper into the superficial layers of the epidermis than a classic growth factor, based on its ex-vivo testing. The aim is to take inspiration from regenerative science and translate it into a topical routine designed to support the skin’s natural mechanisms associated with firmness, collagen and elastin.
A new approach to firmness
At the heart of the technology is a combination of four complementary peptides designed to target different aspects of ageing skin. A micro-fragmented FGF biomimetic peptide acts as a “Collagen Booster”, while an adiponectin biomimetic peptide is positioned as an “Elasticity Booster”. Two additional matrikine peptides work as “Texture Correctors”, helping to refine the appearance of skin texture and wrinkles.
The result is a multi-dimensional approach to firmness rather than focusing on a single visible sign of ageing.
The range brings this technology together in three products.
The hero: Tightening Lifting Serum
The Pro-Collagen Micro-Growth Factor Tightening Lifting Serum is the standout of the collection, formulated with a 7% Micro-Growth Factor-Peptides Complex. It also contains low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, FILORGA’s NCEF regenerative complex and an instant tightening polymer, combining an immediate tightening effect with longer-term firming skincare. According to FILORGA, ex-vivo testing showed 101% more Collagen V and 121% more elastin after seven days. In testing on women using the serum twice daily, instrumental measurements recorded a 15.6% improvement in firmness after 28 days, increasing to 20.5% after 84 days.
It is designed to be applied morning and evening, before moisturiser.
Lifting from serum to eye contour
The Pro-Collagen Micro-Growth Factor Lifting Eye Serum takes the same approach to the delicate eye area. Inspired by eye-lifting techniques, the 360° treatment targets the appearance of fatigue, sagging, puffiness and dark circles. Its metallic roll-on applicator adds a cooling, massaging element to application, while the formula combines a 5% Micro-Growth Factor-Peptides Complex with low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, NCEF and lifting technologies.
According to FILORGA’s consumer testing, 80% of women felt the eye contour looked instantly lifted and tightened, while 89% found the skin around the eyes more supple after seven days.
The final step is the Lifting Firming Cream, also formulated with a 5% Micro-Growth Factor-Peptides Complex. Designed to complement the serum, it supports the appearance of firmer, denser and better-supported skin while providing hydration and comfort.

I reckon that the most interesting part of the Pro-Collagen Micro-Growth Factor story is its inspiration. Growth factors have become an important part of the conversation around regenerative approaches in aesthetic medicine, where the focus is increasingly shifting from simply correcting visible signs of ageing towards supporting the biological processes involved in skin quality.
