Uplifting Scents

I have an immense passion for fragrances; especially one brand in particular. I’ll save that undying love for another future blog post (#WATCHTHISSPACE) – but in the meantime, I’m going to gush over three different scents that have brought me a lot of joy over the past few months.

First up, we have the Clarins Eau Ressourçante, R595 for 100ml. Bear in mind this is a classic scent, (aka not a newbie), but it’s always been a go-to of mine whenever I travel and instantly makes you feel, without sounding SUPER cliché, light and fresh. Whenever I spritz this treatment fragrance, it reminds me of my dear friend Claudia who I’ve known since school days. It’s her absolute favourite. The scent consists of a blend of essential oils (Cedarwood, Basil, Iris and Sarsaparilla) as well as a non-photosensitising formula which means you can wear it safely on the beach, in the sun, without it causing any damage to your skin. The middle fragrance is Abercrombie & Fitch’s First Instinct Blue, EDP 100ml and a lot fruitier than my regular scent preference. The notes consist of blackberry, salt, bergamot, jasmine, peony, apricot, vanilla, patchouli and vanilla. I know it seems like a mouthful, but, how delicious right? I love how this fragrance settles after you spray it. Initially, it’s quite heavy, but it settles so beautifully that all you ‘fresh’ loving fragrance lovers will enjoy this too. I guarantee it. And the bottle’s quite fabulous too.

Clicks has a great promotion at the moment with this fragrance and it includes a gift set too. Click here to purchase. (Remember, this is while stocks last).

The last and final scent is the Acqua Di Parma Colonia Eau de Cologne, 180ml. If you enjoy citrusy, fresh fragrances with a hint of floral, that eventually settles into a woody base note (it reminds me of Dolce and Gabbana’s iconic Light Blue actually), then this one is a must. Lemon, sweet orange, Calabrian Bergamot, Bulgarian Rose, Verbena and Patchouli make up this glorious Italian scent and works well throughout the year, not just during the summer months.
